i love my job. i work with a bunch of idiots who deserve each other. today we wasted at least a couple hundred dollars of drugs cuz the other guy i work with dropped a big vial...........yup, at least $200 dollars right there.

but i've got him beat (not that i'm proud of it) but last thursday i really screwed up this order. used the completely wrong drug, 8 bags AND tubing (tubing's expensive)......added up to about $500 all because of my stupidity......now i feel like a moron

but the lady i work with has us both beat. when she started working she mixed a wickedly expensive drug in the wrong solution. 32 vials, 8 bags, tubing, the works. it costed the company $3500. somehow they didnt fire her (which im happy about. she's a good worker)

lesson to the unwise......read the compounding instructions BEFORE mixing the drug.
